Fix Logitech scrolling
on Mac.

For an MX Master, MX Anywhere, Lift, G-series mouse, or a basic Logitech wheel mouse, choppy scrolling can come from wheel mode, permissions, or two utilities processing the same input.

Use this order

  1. Check the physical wheel.Switch between ratchet and free-spin mode if your mouse supports it. Confirm the wheel is clean and moves normally.
  2. Review Logi Options+.Keep your button assignments, but turn off Smooth Scrolling before using another smoothing utility.
  3. Avoid double processing.Quit Mos, Mac Mouse Fix, Smooze, or another scroll utility during testing. Enable only the one you want to evaluate.
  4. Check macOS permissions.A utility that replaces wheel events may need Input Monitoring and Accessibility permission, followed by a full app restart.
  5. Test slow and fast turns.Slow turns reveal jumpiness; faster turns reveal whether momentum and distance feel controlled.
Common conflict

Keep Logi Options+. Disable only its smoothing.

You do not have to remove Logitech software just to use Silk Scroll. Logi Options+ can continue handling buttons and device-specific features. The important part is to avoid enabling two smooth-scrolling engines at once.

What different symptoms usually mean

Visible jumps

The wheel is likely sending separate steps without enough interpolation between them.

Too much travel

Two utilities may be applying distance or acceleration to the same event.

No effect at all

Check the utility’s permissions, then quit it completely and reopen it from Applications.
